Key Word Sign SA has proudly been providing Sign Workshops to South Australians for over a decade.

This workshop is presented by Key Word Sign SA. Your host for the day will be an experienced 'Key Word Sign' trainer. You'll learn all the tips and tricks needed to get you started with signing. A fun and interactive workshop set to leave you feeling inspired and ready to sign!

You will learn:

• How we communicate using natural gestures
• The features of sign production (HOLME)
• To recognise and accurately produce the signs in Interactive Vocabulary (Parts 1 and 2)
• How to identify the key words to sign in a spoken sentence
• How to use speech and sign / natural gesture within functional communication activities with basic accuracy and fluency

Online Workshop Includes:

• Small group activities to provide practice opportunities.
• Certificate of participation.

Cost: $350 per person

• Includes ‘Getting Started with Sign’ book, which contains all the signs you’ll learn.

Registrations close 21 days prior to session to allow workshop materials to be posted to participants in advance. 

Places limited to 15 participants per workshop. Workshops may be cancelled at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances, in this event we will attempt to contact you as soon as possible by phone and email.

The workshop format and content has been adapted for online delivery and is designed to provide the same learning outcomes as for the face to face version.
